Al-Qaeda Threat for Coronation Street

For the historic 50th aniversary of the ITV 1 soap Coronation Street, which was aired live earlier this week, they were threatened of a terror attack.
The question is why? Around 15 million people were meant to have tuned in to watch the live show and it quotes, "Al-Qaeda are desperate to pull off a 'spectacular' in Britain. The police clearly are acting on fears that a strike on the Corrie studios is a very real possibility."

Well i can definatly say that this heading for this article definatly caught my attention today!

Inside the egg house (KeystoneUSA-ZUMA/Rex Features)Dai Haifei made an egg shaped house to avoid rent (Keystone USA-ZUMA/Rex Features)

It was said that he moved into the ''egg house'' to avoid rent but however has now disappeared due to the ruling of it being illegal.

''Now rumours are rife that Haifei’s egg home is just a publicity stunt by the company, although a senior member of the company says it depends on good designs to make sales, not promotion''

We test Walk-On-By Britain

After the controversy of a 77 year old slipping over and passers by refusing to help, an reporter from 'The Sun' did a test to see how long before someone helped him!

Manchester was seen as the longest with over 15 people walking by in a period of 13 minutes with no one willing to help. It was also tested in other cities such as Glasgow, London and Bristol.

I found it quite interesting, read the article at:

New 'dog only' beer hits shelves

-

When looking at the metro newspaper online i was kept interested by their 'weird' news headlines. This one made me laugh the most though...

....''Ever sat in a bar and thought ‘I wish just once my dog could join me in a casual beer?’ Us neither, but clearly it’s a problem for someone as a Dutch brewer has started producing beer for the as yet untapped pooch market.
Dog Beer is made from a special blend of beef extracts and malt, giving dogs that clean, crisp lager taste while adding some meaty goodness.
A spokesman for the brewers said: ‘It is a beer for your best friend.
‘For large dogs we would recommend one bottle a day and for things like a Chihuahua... well, they prefer shorts.’
The brew is of course, non-alcoholic.
Dog owner Wiktor Piotrowski was among one of the first to buy the product when it was released in Poland this week.
After enjoying some frosty suds with his pet he said: ‘My dog loves it. Now when we go for a walk we can both go to the pub.’''

''Holidays are Coming''

Another year gone and the christmas coca cola advert is back!
Since the 90's this advert was first going and i would say its still the most well-known christmas advertisement.
The amount of facebook statuses that was posted after what i think was the first airing of the advert was amazing. It will never grow old, there will be plenty more years of this advert.
