New 'dog only' beer hits shelves

-

When looking at the metro newspaper online i was kept interested by their 'weird' news headlines. This one made me laugh the most though...

....''Ever sat in a bar and thought ‘I wish just once my dog could join me in a casual beer?’ Us neither, but clearly it’s a problem for someone as a Dutch brewer has started producing beer for the as yet untapped pooch market.
Dog Beer is made from a special blend of beef extracts and malt, giving dogs that clean, crisp lager taste while adding some meaty goodness.
A spokesman for the brewers said: ‘It is a beer for your best friend.
‘For large dogs we would recommend one bottle a day and for things like a Chihuahua... well, they prefer shorts.’
The brew is of course, non-alcoholic.
Dog owner Wiktor Piotrowski was among one of the first to buy the product when it was released in Poland this week.
After enjoying some frosty suds with his pet he said: ‘My dog loves it. Now when we go for a walk we can both go to the pub.’''

''Holidays are Coming''

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9_Vz_xVjAU&feature=related

Another year gone and the christmas coca cola advert is back!
Since the 90's this advert was first going and i would say its still the most well-known christmas advertisement.
The amount of facebook statuses that was posted after what i think was the first airing of the advert was amazing. It will never grow old, there will be plenty more years of this advert.

X factor crazy!

When buying the newspaper for the past few weeks at least part of the front cover is something to do with the X-factor, sometimes even half of the newspaper is about it!
This year seems to have gone crazy on the X-factor, however it isnt about the contest's talent but more on their personal life and the judges which to me i do not see why half a newspaper needs to be filled with them stories.
Is this coverage on the x factor however a good or bad thing for the show?

Wanted: Scouse translators for Liverpool's foreign visitors

I remember a couple of weeks ago when looking for articles for my 'whats new' i came upon an article that i found quite interesting.
The article was about a firm of interpretors who were looking for translaters for the liverpudlian accent for foreign visitors, aswell as geordie accents.
I found this interesting due to the amount of people i have met here with different accents, which for myself isnt that confusing but i can imagine for foreign students who come here can find that quite confusing why there is so many different pronounciation of some words and maybe even difficult to understand.

I manage to find an article similar online:
